MARGOT GORDON
Margot concentrates her practice on estate planning and guardianship administration and serves of counsel to the firm. Margot came to us from Levin Schreder & Carey, an income tax and estate planning firm, where she was a partner and worked for more than twelve years. She has extensive experience advising clients on estate planning matters, including transfer tax reduction techniques, special needs planning, charitable planning and business succession planning. She also handles numerous matters involving estate and trust administration, probate and guardianship, and routinely represents corporate and individual trustees, trust beneficiaries and guardians.
Prior to working in the private sector, Margot served as an assistant public guardian for the Cook County Public Guardian’s Office where she managed disabled adult guardianship matters, served as Guardian ad Litem for abused and neglected children in juvenile court, and handled appellate court appeals in both the state appellate and supreme courts. Margot also has past experience in handling domestic violence matters, previously directing the Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Project for the Hull House Association.

JEROME F. GOLDBERG
Jerome Goldberg serves as of counsel to the firm. He has been in private practice since 1981, representing a number of private psychiatric hospitals, community mental health agencies, mental health professionals, and the families of persons with mental disabilities.
In 1975, Mr. Goldberg was appointed as Executive Director of the original Governor's Commission to Revise the Mental Health Code (1975-1977). More recently, he was appointed to the new Commission to Revise the Mental Health Code of Illinois (1988-1989).
He has also served as Chief Legal Counsel for the Illinois Department of Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities (1964-1974) and has been a lecturer in law and psychiatry at the Michael Reese Medical Center and IIT. He also assisted the Michigan legislature in developing the Michigan Mental Health Code. He has taught at Chicago-Kent College of Law (1975-1978), and Northwestern University School of Law (1966-1967) and the Psychomatic and Psychiatric Institute (1970-1978).
Mr. Goldberg was awarded a law degree from Northwestern University School of Law (1951).
